3 Reasons to shut down your computer everyday.

Turning your computer off properly everyday is an extremely important aspect of basic computer maintenance.

I worked in a casino for a number of years to put myself through college.  As some of you may know, casino’s are pretty much open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  When I started working there, after my shift during the 15 minutes I was officially closed, I would restart the computer I was working on.  I remember my boss calling me and asking me what I had done to make the computer go so fast.  At first I hadn’t a clue what he was talking about, then I asked him how often he restarted the computer.  He said “Never, we can’t, we’re always open.”  I told him that just restarting the computer would help improve its speed.  He was amazed, and I officially became the go to person whenever something computer related went wrong.  I guess you could say it was my first tech job.
